A real project with a real history
A decade in the making
Docz.me started in 2016 as a small tool our founder built for their own freelance work. In 2018 we shared it informally with friends. Then life got busy and it sat in sleep mode for years — used here and there but never turned into a real product. At the end of 2025, with breathing room and a new generation of AI coding tools, we brought it back. 10years in, we're finally ready to share it properly.

Is there really a free plan?
Yes — Docz.me Basic is free forever. No credit card, no trial clock. It covers up to 3 active contracts and 5 clients, which is enough to run a small freelance practice without ever paying us a dollar.
What about my data?
Your data is yours. We use encryption at rest and in transit, and you can export everything as CSV at any time. We'll never sell your client list or snoop in your contracts.
Can I cancel anytime?
Of course. Cancel or downgrade from within the app in two clicks. If you cancel a paid plan, you'll keep access until the end of your billing period, and your data stays where it is.
Do you support multiple currencies?
Yes. You can set a home currency and invoice clients in other currencies — Docz.me handles FX snapshots automatically so your reports stay accurate.
Is Docz.me self-hosted?
Docz.me is available as a hosted SaaS (what most people want) and as a self-hosted option for teams that prefer to run it on their own infrastructure. Both are free to start.
Do I need to be technical?
Not at all. If you've ever used Google Docs, you'll be comfortable with Docz.me. We designed it for craftspeople, not for accountants — no jargon, no 17-step setup wizard.
